Athabasca Tribal Council Golf Classic returns this spring

(February 15, 2022) - Athabasca Tribal Council (ATC) will continue to raise funds for First Nation students with the annual ATC Golf Classic. Taking place on June 3, 2022 at the Fort McMurray Golf Club, the event will showcase Cree and Denesųłıné cultural experiences, networking and fun. 

“We are excited to bring back the ATC Golf Classic and see it as another opportunity to share Indigenous cultural activities with the public while raising funds for local First Nation students to continue their post-secondary education,” said Chief Allan Adam, President of the ATC Board of Directors. 

The tournament will combine golf with traditional Indigenous cultural games, food and entertainment, making this tournament truly one-of-a-kind during the golf season. The 2022 ATC Golf Classic will provide an exciting opportunity to raise funds for scholarships as part of ATC’s Post-Secondary Student Support Program. 

“Supporting students is one of the vital supports that ATC provides to the five First Nations we serve,” said Karla Buffalo, ATC Chief Executive Officer. “Working collaboratively with businesses, governments and individuals across the region we are creating more prosperous futures for youth in ATC First Nation communities.”

Registration is $295.00 + GST for individuals, and $1,180.00 + GST for a team of four. This year will feature a double shot-gun. Your registration includes 18 holes of golf at one of the two shotgun starts. Both tee times will include access to lunch, an evening dinner reception and exciting food, beverages and entertainment on the course, along with exciting prizes, raffles and silent auction items.
