Fort Chipewyan community members, pick up a Variety Meat Pack for your household that may include items such as:
Chicken breasts, Whole chicken, 1kg package of Bacon, Sausages, Extra Lean Ground Beef, Hot Dogs, Pork Chops
Limit One Per Household: First Come, First Served
February 11th – Elders’ delivery beginning at 12:00 pm.
Delivery to Elders can be arranged for those in need. All delivery service requests must be made by February 9th.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
This program is part of the Harvesters Support Grant, funded by Nutrition North Canada.
The Grant provides funding to Indigenous governments and organizations to support hunting, harvesting and food sharing in isolated communities.
Fort Chipewyan is eligible for the Harvesters Support Grant, as it meets the following requirements:
be eligible for the Nutrition North Canada subsidy
lack year-round surface transportation (no permanent road, rail or marine access)
be reliant on air transportation for more than 8 months each year
meet the territorial or provincial definition of a northern community
have an airport, post office, or grocery store
have a year-round population according to the national census
