Join us for a day packed with traditional food, fun activities for all ages, and a truly wild time!
All Fort Chipewyan community members are warmly invited to join us in celebrating the season’s harvest with a delicious moose stew and savoury dishes, fried fish and classic sides, bannock, and sweet treats.

ABOUT THIS PROGRAM
This program is part of the Harvesters Support Grant, funded by Nutrition North Canada.
The Grant provides funding to Indigenous governments and organizations to support hunting, harvesting and food sharing in isolated communities.
Fort Chipewyan is eligible for the Harvesters Support Grant, as it meets the following requirements:
be eligible for the Nutrition North Canada subsidy
lack year-round surface transportation (no permanent road, rail or marine access)
be reliant on air transportation for more than 8 months each year
meet the territorial or provincial definition of a northern community
have an airport, post office, or grocery store
have a year-round population according to the national census
