Medical Transportation Administrator (Part-Time)

Job Summary

Under the direction of the Medical Transportation Coordinator the Medical Transportation Administrator is responsible for supporting the team in arranging appointments and communicating these arrangements to the relevant parties. The incumbent will provide administrative support to ensure efficient operation for the department’s deliverables, supporting the team and clients through a variety of tasks.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Obtains, compiles, organizes, and prepares information and data for various reports, ensuring information packages are complete and meet guidelines for submittal.

  • Arrange travel, accommodation, and meals for eligible clients.

  • Communicate effectively and collaboratively with the public, clients, organizations, and service providers.

  • Act as liaison between community and respective clients and care providers to ensure accurate and timely delivery of clients to and from their appointments and or to accommodations if needed.

  • Communicate with and inform the Medical Transportation Coordinator of potential disruptions or changes.

  • Create and submit reports or other necessary paperwork regarding medical trip arrangements.

  • Understand and sign ATC confidentiality agreement and maintain patient confidentiality always.

  • Participate in team and staff meetings as well as meetings which would be appropriate to support both service delivery and organizational goals.

  • Adhere to all ATC policies and procedures and work in a culturally appropriate and relevant manner consistent with the ATC’s Vision, Mission and Guiding Principles.

  • Other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • High School Diploma or G.E.D.

  • Post secondary is considered an asset.

  • Minimum 2-years experience in an administrative position.

  • Professional/mature demeanor under stressful situations.

  • Demonstrates strong oral and written communication abilities.

  • Exceptional organizational skills with task prioritization, multi-tasking, use of timelines and time management techniques.

  • Ability to work in a confidential and fast-paced environment.

  • Must be able to work with little supervision; must be self-directed.

  • Ability to speak Cree or Dene is an asset.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Clear Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector.

  • Clear Child and Family Services Intervention Check.

  • Class 5 Drivers License and Drivers Abstract.
